As part of the international TRITON World Series circuit, this format combines swimming, cycling, and running—with their respective transitions—into a dynamic and demanding race experience that blends the tradition of triathlon with the innovation and unique atmosphere of the TRITON universe.

A COMPETITION THAT GOES BEYOND A SINGLE RACE
More than just a one-day competition, TRITON 1 is part of a global racing circuit. Athletes earn points toward the international TRITON World Series ranking, which brings together competitors from over 40 nationalities and rewards the season’s top performers in each distance category. In addition, each race serves as a qualifying event for the TRITON World Finals.
COURSES
EXPLORE EVERY SECTION OF THE COURSE
Understanding the course is a fundamental part of your TRITON preparation. Studying each segment allows you to refine your race strategy, manage your pace effectively, and arrive fully prepared for the challenges ahead. All TRITON courses are designed as multi-lap circuits, providing greater operational control, an enhanced spectator experience, and maximum athlete safety throughout the race.
Swimming
The swim takes place in Doca dos Olivais, a man-made lake located next to Lisbon’s iconic waterfront. Athletes enter the water from the Oceanário de Lisboa side, with the course positioned just a short distance from the transition area for a smooth race experience.
With calm, still waters and an average temperature of 18°C to 19°C (64°F–66°F), the venue offers excellent conditions for athletes.
The swim course is designed as a loop format
- SPRINT — 1 lap
- MIDDLE — 2 laps
- LONG — 3 laps
Waves are, SPRINT first, MIDDLE second and LONG, third. The number of waves for each distance may vary according to the number of participants.

Triathlon

MIX&MATCH
SprintMiddleLongCreate your own race experience by combining predefined distances across the three disciplines. For example: SPRINT Swim • MIDDLE Bike • LONG Run.
